Currently I sense an atmosphere of new beginnings! The media industry is in a stage of critical change, and we are amidst of it.

After a three-year reconstruction period, Ringier is now a broadly diversified media enterprise and with the Ringier Axel Springer Media AG joint venture, the company has achieved an excellent position in Central and Eastern Europe. This is the right time for me to accept new responsibilities.

Which Media Brands Do You Trust?
There are few industries that are experiencing such world-shaking changes as the media industry is. This change requires a radical new way of thinking from those in the industry. Print media are under pressure, digital platforms are on the advance, and user behavior is changing drastically. The variety of information is also increasing at an enormous rate; the data available in the Internet doubles every five months, for example. However, I am absolutely convinced this is precisely the reason why media companies are needed more than ever. Their importance will even increase in spite of or rather due to the rapidly progressing digitalization of the world.
